Income Tax Department Recruitment 2024: Over 15,000 Posts Announced

The Income Tax Department (Aykar Vibhag) has announced a significant recruitment drive for 2024, presenting a golden opportunity for job seekers aiming to join a prestigious government department. A total of 15,970 positions have been announced by the Income Tax Department. These include various Group B posts, with a specific mention of 3,860 vacancies for Stenographer Grade B. Additionally, a broader list detailing 13,293 vacancies across different regions such as New Delhi, North East Region, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, and Odisha has been released. The salary for selected candidates will vary based on the specific post. Generally, the starting monthly salary ranges from Rs. 21,300 to Rs. 44,800. For the Stenographer Grade B posts, the pay scale is attractive, with salaries ranging from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month, increasing with promotion. The Level 6 pay matrix offers a salary from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.

Application Fee Structure

A non-refundable application fee is applicable for these vacancies. General and Other Backward Class (OBC) category candidates are required to pay Rs. 500. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically Handicapped (PH), and Female candidates, the application fee is Rs. 250.
