BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025: Latest Vacancy Details
The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced new recruitment for Head Constable positions for the year 2025. This opportunity is open to both male and female candidates across India who meet the eligibility criteria. Key Details of BSF Head Constable Vacancy
This recruitment drive is for the BSF Head Constable (Radio Operator – RO and Radio Mechanic – RM) posts. A total of 1121 vacancies have been released. This is an All India recruitment, inviting applications from eligible male and female candidates from any state.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed at least 10th grade to be eligible to apply. Alternatively, individuals with an ITI qualification or those who have passed 12th grade (Intermediate) are also eligible. Age Limit
The minimum age limit for applicants is 18 years. The maximum age limit is set at 25 years. Age relaxation will be provided to Female, OBC, SC, and ST candidates as per Government rules and regulations.
Salary and Allowances
Selected candidates for the BSF Head Constable posts will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,000, as per rules. In addition to the basic salary, various allowances will be provided, including House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transportation Allowance, Dearness Allowance (DA), Medical Facilities, and a Pension Scheme. Application Fees
The application fee for General and OBC category candidates is ₹100. However, SC and ST candidates are exempt from paying any application fees. Female candidates from all categories are also exempt from paying application fees.
Physical Standards Test (PST)
The Physical Standards Test sets specific requirements for height and chest measurements for candidates.
Height Requirements
For male candidates, the height requirement is 168 cm for General candidates and 162 cm for ST candidates. For female candidates, the height requirement is 157 cm for General candidates and 154 cm for ST category candidates.
Chest Requirements (Male Only)
For male General candidates, the chest measurement should be between 80 cm and 85 cm (expansion). For male ST candidates, the chest measurement should be between 76 cm and 81 cm (expansion).
Weight Standards
The weight for both male and female candidates must be as per medical standards, corresponding to their height and age.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates must clear the Physical Efficiency Test, which includes running, long jump, and high jump events.
Running
Male candidates are required to complete a 1.6 km run in 6.5 minutes. Female candidates need to complete an 800-meter run in 4 minutes.
Long Jump
Male candidates must achieve a long jump of 11 feet, with three chances provided. Female candidates must achieve a long jump of 9 feet, also with three chances provided.
High Jump
For both male and female candidates, the high jump requirement is 3 feet, with three chances given.
Selection Process
The selection process for BSF Head Constable recruitment involves multiple stages to assess candidates’ suitability. These stages include a Written Exam, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination, and Document Verification.
